Here’s a sample poem…

_Mulch_  (9/11/1999)

Last leaves linger.

Then, surrender.

Falling, swift swoop, to swishing piles.

Rubbishy, static noise.

But later, turn to mulch.

with rain and feet, frost, wind and sleet…  grow Hazardous

and Humorous.  Beats banana skins in kids cartoons.

Enliven life with Death.

How central, what good sense, is autumn.

Dogs and leaves go cheeky on the ground

and in the sky, sharpest blue and softest pink.

Reflected on the mulch.  Ice rink.

Description

So, back in December 2002 I collated a book of my 40 best poems so far.  I made 50 copies, and rapidly sold out.  In 2004  I made another 300 copies!  I still have some 🙂

They are £5 plus postage and packing of £3.10, and the cover is a painting of a dragon that I sell on my stalls as a postcard.  I had 500 of those postcards made, and have successfully kept that page off the internet, but the 200 that are not stuck on the front of poem books delight one and all, and are very nearly sold out.
